Apple has confirmed a “Pro and tell” event in Los Angeles on 28 October. Bloomberg reports it will show its first touchscreen MacBook Pro with an OLED screen, an entry-level M6 MacBook Pro, a new iMac and an OLED iPad mini. Apple has not confirmed any products.

Apple will hold a launch event in Los Angeles on 28 October under the tagline “Pro and tell,” the company confirmed on Monday. Press releases are expected at 10am Pacific Time, followed by hands-on sessions for media.

Apple has not said what it will show. But the event is expected to bring its first touchscreen MacBook, Bloomberg reported. Mark Gurman had earlier said the launch was planned for 27 October.

According to Bloomberg, the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will have OLED touchscreens and a Dynamic Island, the cut-out at the top of the iPhone screen. They are also said to be much lighter than current models.

Apple is also expected to add a cheaper 14-inch MacBook Pro with its M6 chip, and a refreshed iMac. Both are set to keep their current designs, Bloomberg said. Apple launched the M6, its first 2nm chip, in the Mac mini in August.

The fourth product is likely an iPad mini with an OLED screen, better speakers and a moved front camera, 9to5Mac reported, citing Gurman. Bloomberg first reported the OLED iPad mini in July, with an October launch target.

The touchscreen Mac is part of a wider plan to overhaul every Mac over the next year. Apple has long rejected touchscreens on laptops, saying macOS is designed for a mouse and trackpad.

“Pro and tell” will be Apple’s third launch this autumn and the second under chief executive John Ternus, who took over from Tim Cook on 1 September. It follows the HomeView smart home display, a second HomePod mini and a new Apple TV, Bloomberg said.

Ternus’s first event in September brought the foldable iPhone Duo, which goes on sale this Friday.
